Testimonials...

“I just wanted to thank you for the brilliant job you did on my pre-purchase survey. Your patience, flexibility and accessibility were greatly appreciated. Your attention to detail and thoroughness surpassed every expectation I had. On a side note, even the insurance company made mention that this was the "most comprehensive survey we have ever seen". Thank you for making this part of the buying process less stressful.”

Sea Trials in the UK, Palma, Gibraltar & Marbella

We strongly recommend that a Sea Trial is conducted as part of your Pre-Purchase Survey and this will be undertaken at no extra cost.  We believe it is important part of evaluating a vessel; its engines, its systems, how it handles and ultimately its overall performance.  Many different elements of the boat can only be assessed whilst out on the water.

During a Sea Trial we'll report on the general condition of the vessel and engine performance, the handling characteristics and system operations. When conducting a Sea Trial the boat must be operated by its owner or someone authorized by the owner or agent.  If the client ordering the survey is interested in buying the boat we welcome them on board during the Sea Trial.

If the boat is afloat but you do not request a Sea Trial or bad weather  makes a Sea Trial inadvisable, we'll inspect the operation of propulsion, auxiliary machinery and the steering system whilst it's in static mode.  If the boat is onshore then we cannot operate any machinery and it will not be included in the report. Any sails, bimini tops, awnings, winter covers etc that are furled or stowed below decks or are not rigged or laid out for inspection, will not be evaluated. Inspecting the condition of sails, biminis, awnings and winter covers is best carried out by a qualified canvas maker and likewise the rigging by a qualified rigger.  We can organize this for you as an extra.

Lastly we'll check to see that all the items mentioned in a Broker's Listing are on board.
